Magnificent Transformation | Novatron Reshapes the New Look of the Office!

Recently, the Novatron Quality Department took proactive measures to bring a "magnificent transformation" to the quality office area, creating a "6S Standard Sample Room" in the factory. The goal of this effort was to establish an efficient, orderly, and standardized working environment to enhance team productivity and collaboration.

Cheng Binbin, the Quality Department Manager, deeply understood and implemented the "6S management" concept. Addressing the current state of item placement in the workshop, he formulated detailed organization guidelines including specific requirements for item classification, placement standards, and designated areas.

They set up visual data dashboards and standardized the layout and content of these dashboards to ensure that key data is presented clearly and monitored in real-time. This helps in understanding the production status promptly and making the necessary adjustments in decision-making.

They established strict standards for placing items on workbenches, unifying the positions and labels for tools, jigs, and measuring instruments. This allows employees to quickly access the needed items, reduces the risk of operational errors, decreases unnecessary searching and waiting time, and ensures production safety and efficiency.

Following the principles of "set location, set position, and set quantity," unnecessary items and expired documents were removed, and rational layout and label management were implemented to ensure that storage areas like item cabinets and shelves are clean and orderly.

Adhering to the principle of "one item, one place," items on office desks were classified and organized to prevent clutter, ensuring that documents, equipment, and office supplies are orderly.

Using tools like colored labels and tags, different types of products were classified and stored to facilitate product traceability and management, effectively ensuring product quality and safety.

They unified the water cup placement area to guide employees in placing personal items properly, avoiding random placement, cultivating good habits and quality in employees, and improving the cleanliness of the office environment.


Conclusion


To excel in one's work, one must first sharpen their tools.


This "6S management" reform led by the Quality Department is not just about organizing and tidying up the physical space but also involves a deep restructuring of management thinking, work habits, and even corporate culture.


Going forward, Novatron will use this "6S Sample Room" as a model and extend it to all office areas throughout the factory.
